Wesley College is favoured to prevail against St. Peter’s College in the Dialog Schools Rugby tournament encounter which is scheduled to be played at Bambalapitiya on Saturday (23) with the kick-off set for 4.15 p.m.

The Wesley outfit, led by full-back Tharusha Jayaweera, has had a successful run so far, having recorded two big wins against Vidyartha and Science College and a narrow defeat to Isipathana. The Peterites, led by centre Sudesh Jayawickrama, however, are undergoing a lean season, experiencing defeats against Vidyartha and Isipathana, with only one win against Dharmaraja.

Wesley will no doubt be coming into the game with confidence, but they cannot afford to take the Peterites lightly as they will be looking to come back on winning terms and a defeat would see them out of contention for the league title.
